I have spent the last 17 years working in the education field, with experience in non-profit and private sectors and in both higher education and K-12. I specialize in a range of work including program and product management, stakeholder engagement, and operational change management for various educational institutions. I find nothing more rewarding than helping shape the education landscape for all future generations.

Elements of Assessment Design 2014

Description: Elements of Assessment Design is a virtual course that trains teachers – and anyone who supports instruction – to create effective assessment questions. The entire course takes about 60-90 minutes to complete, and users can stop and start course modules as needed, returning to their saved spot at their convenience. Course takers also have access to the Assessment Design Resource Library where they can access additional tools to guide them through their assessment design needs.

State Policy Report Card 2013

Description: The StudentsFirst State Policy Report Card is a comprehensive analysis of the current education laws and policies in each state and the District of Columbia. This project took approximately one year to complete and involved over 20 team members. The development process included ideation, research, analysis, design, internal and external review, and publication.

South Orange County CCD Education & Facilities Master Plan 2012

Description: South Orange Community College District is a multi-campus district comprised of Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Irvine Valley College (IVC) in Irvine, and the Advanced Technology & Education Park (ATEP) in Tustin. This project was an integrated planning project in efforts to meet the District short-term and long-term goals and included a District Overview, Education Master Plan for each campus, and a Facilities Master Plan for each campus. The planning horizon for the plans was 20 years. The project took approximately ten months to complete with support of the District Planning Committee. The development process included complete analysis of each College’s institutional data as well as a comprehensive environmental scan to assess the needs of the District’s service area. Interviews were held with faculty, staff, and students to provide qualitative input in addition to the data assessed. Several business and community surveys were developed to gather additional input as part of the scan. Full enrollment projections were provide and broken out by individual program area. Forecasts were used to develop program recommendations and utilized in Facilities Master Plan to assess long term capital construction needs. During the course of the project, a website was created to allow full transparency and visibility during the process for all stakeholders.

College of the Desert Strategic Education Master Plan 2010

Description: College of the Desert is a public two-year community college located in Palm Desert in the Coachella Valley of Riverside County, California that serves over 10,000 students. The College of the Desert Strategic Education Master Plan project took approximately six months to complete. The development process included complete analysis of the College’s institutional data as well as a comprehensive environmental scan to assess the needs of the College’s service area. Interviews were held with select administrator, faculty, and staff to provide qualitative input in addition to the data assessed. Program recommendations was provided as part of the complete product.

West Hills Community College District Educational Master Plan 2008

Description: West Hills Community College District is located in the Central Valley and consists of two primary campuses: West Hills College Coalinga and West Hills College Lemoore. Under the direction of the District, the goal of this project was to develop individual Education Master Plans for each campus including strategies and recommendations for each campus while aligning the strategies with the District Vision, Mission and Goals. The project took approximately eight months to complete with support of the District Planning Committee. The deveopment process included complete analysis of each College’s institutional data as well as a comprehensive environmental scan to assess the needs of the District’s service area. Interviews were held with faculty, staff, and students to provide qualitative input in addition to the data assessed. Existing business and community surveys were included as part of the scan. Program recommendations was provided as part of the complete product.

Los Angeles Southwest College Education Master Plan 2008

Description: Los Angeles Southwest College (LASW) is one of nine community college in Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). LASW is a fully accredited two-year college that serves approximately 8,000 students. The LA Southwest Education Master Plan had a four-year planning horizon, 2008-2012. The project took approximately eight months to complete. The deveopment process included complete analysis of the College’s institutional data as well as a comprehensive environmental scan to assess the needs of the College’s service area. Interviews were held with faculty, staff, and students to provide qualitative input in addition to the data assessed. Program recommendations was provided as part of the complete product.
